In reply to Where Imagination Grows. It went so well! Kids and adults had so much fun. The kids were interested way longer than I thought they would be. They had so much fun making their own creations. I ended up doing them in the oven at 400 and it worked great. Thanks for the fun idea.

In reply to Amy. Hi Amy! I've never done just beads in the oven but I'd suggest 350-375 degrees. It shouldn't take too long but definitely keep an eye on them. Also make sure you have a fan going or window open as it can get smelly. I've only done beads in the oven as part of a salt dough craft (the rest I made in the BBQ), so we had to start with a low temp for the salt dough but the beads didn't really begin to melt until I raised the temp to 350 so definitely start around there. They melted fairly quickly. Hope this helps!

I’m planning on doing this craft this weekend with about 5 kids. If I do use the oven, any ideas on temperature and time?

In reply to Debbie Pike. Oh no Debbie! That must be frustrating! I've never had any issues with them sticking but I expected them to stick each time. I'd try a bit of grease or pull them out as soon as they are cool enough to touch. I've noticed the longer they cool the harder it can be to get them out but I usually pull them out when there are still fairly warm and they seem to pop right out. Hope you could get most of them out! Good luck!
